The Uttar Pradesh Council for Child Welfare (UPCCW) is a state-level orgnization of the Indian Council for Child Welfare, which works tirelessly for the betterment of children and women in Uttar Pradesh. Established with a vision to create a nurturing environment for children and women, UPCCW ensures that no one is left behind in the journey of progress. UPCCW is affiliated with the Indian Council for Child Welfare, making it a part of a global effort towards child and women welfare.

Our Legacy: A Journey of Dedication & Commitment

The Uttar Pradesh Council for Child Welfare (UPCCW) has a rich history rooted in compassion and social responsibility. It was in 1950-51 when a group of visionary citizens in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, came together with a shared mission—to create a better future for children.

Their early efforts focused on rural development, where they organized children’s fairs and provided milk and mid-day meals to underprivileged children, ensuring their nutrition and well-being.

Working Area

Though UPCCW is mandated to work in entire Uttar Pradesh, it is at present working in 27 districts of the state thorough District Councils for Child Welfare (DCCWs) and affiliated institution.

UPCCW is an associate of Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW), New Delhi. It networks with a large number of government and non-governmental organisations to accomplish its mission.
