Anganwadi Training Centres
Anganwadi Training Centres (ATCs) are operational since the year 1982. Initially the centres were supported by Indian Council for Child Welfare, New Delhi, and were managed by the District Councils for Child Welfare (DCCWs). But since 1999, they are being supported by the Department of Women and Child Development of the State Government through funds from the World Bank under the auspices of the Department of Women and child Development, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi.

Trained workers are benefited in a number of ways:
- Increase in knowledge
- Capacity building in action
- Development of proficiency
- Making mothers of children aware of health, nutrition and education apart from overall development of children
- Making women self-reliant in the anganwadi area
- Soliciting maximum cooperation of adolescent girls in anganwadi
